The Aquatic concourse tiles at Leisurepark Balga have reached the end of their usable life and are due to be replaced.

The new tiles will have a higher slip resistance rating to reduce slipping incidents at the facility and this replacement is scheduled to start on Monday 19 February 2018.

A full replacement will occur through a staged approached and has been broken into ten stages, Removal of  the existing tiles is carried out overnight and re-tiling occurring during the day, to ensure that there is no loss of service.

The entire replacement is expected to take four months with each stage being 1-3 weeks in length.

During stage 1 patrons will be required to use the gym access gates, then walk past the crèche to access the pool. There is disabled access to the aquatic areas during this stage 1,  by a ramp, with railings, erected over the stairs between the crèche and the Leisure pool.

A map of the staged approach to the replacement is shown here.

As the Social/Fundraising officer/team  the key activities over the season are:

Organise fundraising events for the club, these can be new ideas that help us to purchase new equipment, fund breakfasts, team events and even our Awards night.

Create a plan with your ideas for fundraising and social events for the season, which can be communicated to members on how they can get involved.

Plan club social functions including, but limited to, Club Breakfasts, Club Dinners, Club Team Building exercises, Club Annual Presentation Night and the Clubs Swimming WA Club Championships team dinner, working in collaboration with the Coaching team as required.

Arrange the team to help organise food and or refreshments for club swims and club hosted swims.

This area is great to work together as a team to support social and fundraising activities, a great way to have a group of friends to bring about fun activities for our swim club.

Note: This role does not need to attend committee meetings
