The Breakers Swimmers did the club proud at Open States over the weekend with some fantastic results, numerous medals and even two National records (pending Swimming Australia confirmation).
The boys led the way with individual medals for Ben Roberts, Jack Wilson, Kieran Pollard, and Jake Smith. They also got a silver medal for the 4x100m freestyle relay consisting of Tristan De Villiers, Kieran Pollard, Jake Smith and Ben Roberts and a gold for the 4x200m freestyle relay team consisting of Ben Roberts, Jake Smith, Jack Wilson and Kieran Pollard.
There were also individual medals for 3 of the girls - Samantha Macfarlane, Elyse Weston, Rosie Wilson, Abigail Phillips and Lucinda Foley. The girls 4x200m freestyle relay team consisting of Samantha Macfarlane, Elyse Weston, Isla Thomson and Taylor Monaghan also won a silver medal.
Special mentions go to Kieran Pollard who did a fantastic PB in his 400m Individual medley and finally got under the time he's been stuck at for a while and to Lucinda Foley for hopefully breaking not just one but two Multi-class National records in her 50m and 100m butterfly. Watch this space for an update once Swimming Australia has confirmed!
