Covid-19
Dear Breakers Community,
Please note that training continues as usual for all Breakers squads.
Breakers cares about the safety of our swimmers and continues to liaise with the City of Joondalup, Swimming WA and refers to the Department of Health to provide the most appropriate advice on this matter. If there is any change to training / squad schedules and other Club activities we will advise you via email and the Club Facebook page. The committee is working hard on contingency plans on different scenarios if they eventuate.
Please ensure your family continues to practice excellent hygiene and appropriate caution to minimise the spread of COVID-19 in the community. In particular, remind your swimmer and all family members of the importance of:
- Thorough washing of hands
- Covering mouth when coughing or sneezing
- Avoiding touching their face
- No sharing of drink bottles or food
We would also recommend swimmers leave the Leisure Fit grounds soon after the completion of their session and avoid unnecessary social contact such as shaking hands and hugging.
Please:
Do not send your swimmer to squad training if there is any sign of cold / flu-like symptoms, no matter how minor.
Notify your coach immediately if anyone in your family is required to go into self-isolation or is diagnosed with COVID-19.
