2019 Nationals Information


Please note there has been a change to the meet format and age groups.

Female = 17/18 yrs & 19/20 yrs & Open

Male = 18/19 yrs & 20/21 yrs & Open

Qualifying times and the Program of Events for next year’s Age Nationals in Adelaide are now online at the Swimming Australia website.

Remember to look at the Club Relays that your swimmer/s may be a part of throughout the duration of the event.

It is advised for those who intend to go to the Open Nationals should start looking and book their own accommodation that suits their circumstances.

The Club Committee has chosen Marion Holiday Park as the Management Team accommodation for the Age Nationals 2019, being held in Adelaide at the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre, on the 15th April - 22nd April 2019. Coaches have been booked in for the 13th to the 22nd April 2019. The coaches would like all swimmers to stay at the same location, at Marion Holiday Park.

If you think your child/children would have half a chance or will be competing be at next year’s Age Nationals it is worth looking into and even securing a spot at the Marion Holiday Park.

Tell Sandra you are a Breakers Swim Club Member and ask to avoid their Dynamic Pricing (This is where the price increases as the more popular it becomes).

There is a $25 cancellation/change booking fee. Please read all their terms and conditions prior to booking. Hurry accommodation choices are running out.

Information Sessions

Richard Monaghan is be holding 2 information nights regarding 2019 Nationals.

The first is on the 22nd August and the other at a later date. These sessions are for anyone wanting to know more information about the event.

Date: 22nd August 2019 at 6:00 pm in the outside meeting room at Craigie Leisure Centre.

Items to be talked about on the night will include;

  • Dates (time frames),

  • Locations,

  • Accommodation,

  • Transport,

  • Qualifications (events and relays),

  • Explanations on the Travelling Teams Policy (shared athlete payment for coaches/team management),

  • Club Subsidy,

  • National Fundraising (Come with ideas).

The time frame should not extend past 1 hr. It is an open meeting so feel free to ask anything and hopefully clarification can be done on the night.
